How is my progress saved? Can I restore it?

Your progress is saved automatically on your device. Because Vocab PrepCross works entirely offline and uses no accounts, there is nothing to sign in to and nothing stored on a server. Your progress lives only on your device, so if you delete and reinstall the app, that progress is cleared.

Can more than one person play on the same device?

Yes. Vocab PrepCross has three separate save profiles, so up to three people can keep their own independent progress on one device.

How do I turn the music or sound effects on or off?

Open the settings gear on the level-select screen. There you'll find toggles for background music and for sound effects.

What are hints and gems?

You earn gems as you type answers. You can spend gems on reveal hints when you get stuck. A free hint is always recharging in the background, so you never stay stuck for long.

Does the app respect my silent switch and my own music?

Yes. Game audio follows your device's ring/silent switch, so flipping to silent mutes the game. Vocab PrepCross also mixes politely with audio from other apps — if you're already playing your own music, the game won't stop it.
